Veterinarian
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Dayton received his doctorate at Oklahoma State University. He practiced both large and small animal medicine for 4 years in Oklahoma before moving to Houston in 1981, where he opened Parker Road Animal Hospital. His areas of special interest include diagnostic medicine, laparoscopic surgery and orthopedic surgery. He and his wife enjoy traveling, boating and spending time with his daughter's and son's families, including 4 adorable grandsons. He also enjoys time with his furry kids, 6 shih tzus.
Veterinarian
Born in Iowa and raised across the Midwest and fFront Range, Dr. Rayner received her BS in animal science and her doctorate at Colorado State University. She has practiced in a variety of venues including spay/neuter clinics, wellness clinics and corporate hospitals but feels most at home with the practice style at Parker Road. She is a certified veterinary acupuncturist. Away from work she spends time with her husband doing construction, fishing and motorcycling. Her artistic side is expressed through picture framing, handcrafts and a recent interest in machine embroidery. Time spent with her daughters' families includes spoiling 2 grandsons -soon to be 3, and 2 granddaughters.
Practice Manager
Lauri McCabe is the Practice Manager and has been with Parker Road Animal Hospital since 2003. Lauri is a Houstonian by transplant via Southern California where her career began in 1995. Lauri continues to enhance her education by seeking Veterinary Practice Management certification. Lauri's expertise in management helps to ensure every client and patient receives the highest quality of care and the most thorough visit possible. Lauri ensures the staff stay a step ahead in their veterinary education for your pet's care. Lauri's work philosophy is simple, give 100% to your clients while at work and give 100% to yourself when you are with your family. Lauri has a calico cat named Reba who has been with Lauri since she started medicine.
Vet Assistant
Allison began her vet career when she joined Parker Road Animal Hospital in May of 2008 as a Vet Assistant. Allison is not a stranger to animal care with an extensive background in large animals; she grew up showing and training horses. Allison is also a lover of small animals with a new Pekei puppy in the family named Bowzer.
Vet Assistant
Adriana joined Parker Road Animal Hospital in November of 2007. Adriana is completing in-house company training and is on her way to qualifiying for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association Vet Assistant certification. Athena, a blonde chihuahua is Adrianas new love.
Vet Assistant
Susana started with Parker Road Animal Hospital in June 2007, right after completing an internship with another Houston Veterinary hospital during her senior year of high school. It is very clear that Susana developed her love of veterinary medicine early and made a personal commitment to seeing it through. Susana is especially loved because of her loyalty to her patients and clients. Susana will begin the Texas Veterinary Assistant Certification program this fall. Susana has adopted two boston terriers and is learning the trials and tribulations of dog care first hand.
