The Gulf Coast and specifically our Houston area, is one of the mose endemic areas for parasites (already found in large percentage of population) . This includes external parasites such as fleas, ticks, mosquitos or internal parasites such as heartworms, hookworms, & roundworms.

Many of the intestinal parasites are zoonotic (can be transmitted from pets to people).
